Chimaobi Njorku Onyekwere, professionally known as M.O.B.I, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and performer. Born on July 31, 1979, in Imo State, Nigeria, M.O.B.I has built a music career spanning over two decades, earning recognition for his dedication to the Nigerian music industry and his passion for live performance.
Early Life and Education
M.O.B.I was born into a Christian family in Imo State, Nigeria. He hails from Imo State and currently resides in Lagos, Nigeria.
He began his educational journey at Umueze Primary School, before attending Wesley Primary School and later Wuse Primary School in Abuja. He completed his secondary education at Government Secondary School, Tudun Wada, Zone 4, Abuja.
Following his secondary education, he enrolled at Federal Technical College, Orozo (now known as Federal Science and Technical College, Orozo), where he studied Electrical Installation and Maintenance Practice. He graduated in 2003.
During his school years, M.O.B.I displayed a strong interest in entertainment. As a primary school pupil, he participated in dancing activities, while in secondary school he performed mime acts at clubs and social events during holiday periods. He also acquired barbering skills during his secondary school education.

M.O.B.I’s passion for music began at an early age. He officially embraced music as a professional career after discovering his artistic identity around the year 2000.
In 2001, he recorded his debut single titled “Rocking”, which marked the beginning of his professional music journey. He followed this with his second single, “Bose Nlo”, released in 2010.
Since then, M.O.B.I has continued recording and performing music, remaining active in the Nigerian entertainment scene. His musical style reflects his long-standing commitment to creativity, performance, and artistic expression.

M.O.B.I is a Christian and continues to pursue his music career while residing in Lagos, Nigeria.
