Edwin Emmanuel, professionally known as Eboylover, is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer, songwriter, and performer from Rivers State, Nigeria. He gained recognition through his unique blend of Afrobeats music and inspiring lyrics. Since making his professional debut, Eboylover has continued to build a growing fan base with songs such as Single in Love, Alisa, Debbie, and Depression.
Early Life and Background
Edwin Emmanuel was born on 26 December 2001 in Agi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria. He is a native of Obiyebe Town in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area (ONELGA) of Rivers State.
He was raised in Obiyebe Town, where he spent most of his childhood. Born into a Christian family, Edwin developed strong values and a passion for music from an early age. He is the first son of his father, Nwokoma Agilebu, and the third son of his stepmother, Uchechi Nwokoma. He grew up alongside his siblings in a supportive family environment.
Education
Eboylover began his educational journey at Community Nursery School, Obiyebe Town. He later attended Brighter Nursery and Primary School, Obite, where he studied until Primary Five before transferring to Community Primary School, Akabuka, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.
In 2014, he gained admission into Community Secondary School, Omoku Comprehensive, where he completed his junior secondary education. In 2016, he continued his studies at Government Comprehensive Secondary School, Obite, where he successfully completed his senior secondary education and obtained his West African Senior School Certificate.

Music Career
Eboylover discovered his musical talent at the age of eight. One of his earliest compositions was a song titled “See Money”, although it was never officially recorded or released.
At the age of fifteen, he became actively involved in gospel music and joined his church youth choir. During this period, he adopted the stage name Christlike and released his first gospel song, “Narakelmeo”.
After relocating to Mile 3, Port Harcourt, at the age of nineteen, he worked in a bakery and met several friends involved in Afrobeats music. His interaction with these artists inspired him to transition from gospel music to Afrobeats. During a street music event, he was introduced by the name Eboy, which later evolved into his professional stage name, Eboylover.
In 2022, he released his debut Afrobeats single, “Single in Love”. He followed up with additional releases, including “Alisa” and “Debbie” in 2024. His music career has continued to grow as he works towards establishing himself in the Nigerian music industry and creating a better future for his family.
As of 2026, Eboylover is working on several unreleased projects scheduled for release in June and July.
